The Gift

I woke this morning
And what did I see
My cat on my chest
Looking down on me

Shocked as you can imagine
Her on my chest
That's not the worst part
Let me tell you the rest

In her mouth
Was a long tail mouse
She had probably caught
Somewhere in the house

She brought me that rat
It was a gift I suppose
Thats why she was on top of me
But the tail lay across my nose

Screaming at the top of my lungs
Shot straight up and outta that bed
The mouse ran off and cat gave chase
Seems that mouse was only playing dead

How was your morning?

G'day Timothy ... I hope you weren't giving the mouse mouth to mouth to revive it - good one Timothy - Lindsay
