The Generous Warmth of Eternal Waters

The generous warmth of
Eternal waters
	Drenching me
	Quenching me
Pouring over me
In another 
mornings baptism 

The generous ardor of 
the eternal auteur
	Reminiscing &,
Convincing that we too 
Reside in the garden of gods 
in infancy 	
Of the craft of all creation 

The generous notion
And noble nation 
	Of the immortal denizenry 
	Taking its place
On a sojourn 
	Through time & space 
	In the fissure 
between the night and the morn

I am conscious  
And yet sleeping
I am serious 
And yet laughing
	In the arms of 
The only lover 
	I’ve ever known
