The Gathering Strength

Whispers of love induce my despair
The memories of lies mixed with feelings of care
Whispers of pain confuse what remains
Until I’m sleeping it off whilst the world turns insane

Dreams in my fears will summon all hell
Such malcontent for the wisdom that fell
Dreams of my loss will focus the cost
Now I see the hate that I give and the lines that I’ve crossed

Lethargic company; my mirror calls for me
I see the glaze in my eyes
Despairing endlessly, does anyone hold the key?
Someone please open all I deny

Dreams in my hope will split open the skies
And now I’m awake, and I think through all the lies
Dreams of my path will take away all its wrath
I walk out through the door as I recall how to laugh

Whispers of life pray that I come around
Gather myself with the strength in sight, body and sound
Whispers of light pray that I see with this sight
Look right past all the death, and right through the night

Translate my energy into the language of the sea
Then pick up the flow once again
Transfer this synergy into words that set me free
And now I have respect for love’s pain
