-the Gathering of My Thoughts-

The setting of the evening sun,
the pines that stand so tall,
the snow that lays upon the ground
reminds that winter has conquered fall.

Crisp and chilly is the air
and streaks of gold color the sky.
As I turn I see the rising moon
and a flock of geese flying by.

Where once stood beautiful and untouched woods
now stands homes on finished lots.
Yet, I walk this road in solitude
for it is the gathering of my thoughts.

Pleasurable, the times I've come this way.
I am always seeing something new.
And it is God who has put all before me,
bringing winter's wonders to my view.

I understand this. I go walking too to gather my thoughts. I like the imagery except the 'homes on finished lots'. But it's everywhere you go isn't it? Wonderful write my dear Douglas.
