The Gardeners

I watch the gardeners at work And as they rake and mow I wonder, when their workday ends, About where they all go. I doubt if they have homes with lawns As lush as those they tend Or flower beds like ones to which Their talents they do lend. It's possible the only place Their spirits may be buoyed By what they do is at the sites To which they've been employed.

It's possibie you're right...then again, it's also possible that they're working to put themselves in positions to afford to be buoyed at/by their worksites. Time will tell. ~ gw

I know some contractors whose homes are detractors to a normally stellar rep. Cuz the tools and the time cost them more than a dime. But their pride is quite rich, while they always look like a poor schlep.

I think this is a similar scenario with many who tend to the needs of others before themselves Ilene... I can just imagine how irate wives can get when a job needs doing but hubby is too busy to fix it:-) Hugs Jan xx
