The Game
The game we play
Full of fury and rage
And lies and disdain
And hurricanes of pain,
Is the game of love
Of choices from above,
And friends turned out
While we whistle and shout
It's a dance of a play
Written for us and they
Who know with a wink
And it ain't what we think.
Love on this plane
Is for the lost and insane,
For thinking we live
To caress and to give.
So cruel a first glance
Until you realize by chance,
That it's you to be asked
To be accountable at last.
No one told you to blink
When you left God in the sink.
And you thought that your other,
Was just a new mother,
Of the light of the True God,
In a drunken like nod,
When you picked a mere soul,
Over the Light, o'er the goal.
