The Funeral Poem

I choose to be thankful Not to be sad For all of the wonderful Years that we had You gave me a smile That no one can steal You gave me a purpose In life that was real You gave me a blessing Like no other could When I was confused You understood You gave me much more Than I could ever repay God put peace in my heart When He called you away Though I stand by your grave I'll not shed a tear I'll always be thankful Because you were here

Hello Larry, I just finished reading your poem Do you have any anger with the death of your loved one? I have with mine I can not get rid of my anger.I am having a rough time right now. How did you get rid of anger if you had anger? There is no peace in my heart.

Darlene, I'm sorry for the loss of your loved one...To answer your question, no I feel no anger...Death is and always has been a part of life...You can't have one without the other...I choose to be thankful for the time that I was allotted with my loved one, Death is not a choice my friend, it's something that we all must face,If I may, I would like you to read another poem that I wrote called, "The Last Mile"...I pray it will give you peace my friend,Sending Prayers...
