The Frozen Pathway To Your Heart

I never could find the way It is a path few have traveled If you ever allowed anyone The path is treacherous Full of pitfalls and deep valley I don’t think anyone made it all the way You’d ever leave an opening Not even the slightest crack Cold winds blow out from the valley Covering the path with ice and frost Hiding the footprints Covering the bodies of those who came before The few who made it this far Not knowing the right words The right actions They gave up hope Not knowing that over the next hill Just beyond the clouds Lies a door with a golden lock Waiting for a young knight To have the right words With the right feeling Only then the paths will thaw The winds will warm The walls will crack The lock to you heart will open And maybe once again You’ll let someone love you And maybe once again You will be able to love again

Sometimes it's hard to find the key to unlocking the heart, Robert, but letting "someone love you" is often the best way to open the "golden lock." Love the journey to new love the "young knight" undertakes in this great poem.
