The Friend Zone

~sarcastic tone~
What a wonderful place to be
Uncertain feelings when you think of me
Riddled with questions
Detered away from blessings

Loving the feeling of being left in the dark
Welcoming the pain regardless of the mark
To be here, is to be amongst the few
Taking joy knowing there won't be anything between me and you

Seeking the cold, which is your heart
Knowing I was doomed from the very start
Embracing the elongated laps you make me run
Running for hours, but the race has just begun

A well-written rhyme, Jaquay. Keep it up.
