The Friend I Find
When things seem a little tough,
and my world becomes a little rough
There's one person I can turn to
and in that I have total gratitude.
This person is my friend
I feel will be with me until the end.
This person does not judge me,
for sometimes they are just like me.
When I sometimes feel a little weird,
and other people look and sneer
they just laugh and play the game
for somehow we are quite the same.
This person knows when I am sad,
even knows when I am mad.
They reallly know me deep down inside,
and to them I can not lie.
They know how to heal my wounds,
and stand by while I swoon.
This person does not betray,
and I know the friendship will stay.
They judge not
when I am wrong.
They bring me back
when I'm far gone.
I love my friend
with all my heart.
Funny how I trusted them
from the very start.
You know this person.
Yes, this is true.
For the person I speak of,
is none other than you!
