Notes About The Poem

The Fresh Month of April

The Fresh Month of April

Puffy clouds in overcast skies
Sweep across the countryside,
Releasing rain on valley and hill
In the fresh month of April.

Where birds trill and trees floret,
Flowers unfurl and animals rest
In the greening grass by the rill
In the fresh month of April.

A nature scene, vibrant and quaint,
Alive with spirit and scent.
Then comes the pause as the wind stills
In the fresh month of April.

And then sun rays of golden hues
Break through the vapour, flooding the view.
So, dream away wherever you will
In the fresh month of April.
