The Free Blue Road

Can you guess
Which is the vast blue stretch?
Never ending, never vanishing, never stopping.
The free blue road: the sky always to you
smiling and laughing.
The birds up above the sky they fly.
The sun and moon are the two lanterns of the sky.
The moon and sun are the stars of the dusk and dawn,
They shine in the night and morn.

The sky is so large-hearted and generous,
It gives shelter to all the rich, poor, young, old,
sinful, holy and unsuccessful, victorious.
O sky you're great, practising equality for
one and all,
You are too high for me to answer your
affectionate call.
