The Fracturing part 3
(The Promise We Keep)
Decades fade and seasons turn, the skyline grows anew, But we hold fast to what we found when the world was split in two. The promise isn't just to mourn the sorrow of the past, But to ensure the kindness that we found is strong enough to last.
We vow to teach the ones to come, who didn't see the gray, That we are more than all the walls that get in the way. We promise that we won't require a tragedy to see, The quiet grace that lives within the heart of you and me.
The Fracturing is history now, a chapter on a shelf, But let it be the mirror where we see our better self. To stand as one, without the fire, without the falling stone, To know that in this wide, bright land, we never walk alone.
