The Forgotten Willow
A weeping willow is left alone Standing still set as stone It rests in a forgotten park And sings to its self in the dark
Its only company was the wind
Who wasn’t really a good friend
It pulled at its limping leaves so it made it sad and made it grieve
It had been there for generations
Being one of the oldest creations
But it is now far forgotten
So it sat alone waiting to rotten
