The Forgotten Ones

We are the children forgotten. Scribbled out by your other half. The one you chose to move on with as we wavered in the dark. Just like that everything changed in the waking of your absence. My childhood now tainted by the laws of abandonment. You broke my Mothers heart with the unfaithful weight of your lies. The hurt so clear on her face there was no place to hide. All the contentment I once felt turned into vulnerability. All the securities I had now insecurities. Guilt reared its ugly head in the midst of my emotions. I pretended to be ok but inside I felt broken. Detachment became a friend as I couldn't accept the truth. You were supposed to be my Father yet I became a stranger too you.
