The Forgotten

The Forgotten

For twenty years we’ve bled and died
Our families back home, have mourned and cried

For Afghanistan, we came and fought
But in the end, it was all for not

Draped with a flag, they sent us home
Now these terrorists are free to roam

Our Commander in Chief gave back their power
This was not our finest hour

May God have mercy on our soul
For allowing evil to gain control

Hello Mark ... couldn't agree more with your couplet. The brave soldiers deserved a lot more respect than what they received - thank you Mark - Lindsay

I'm happy for those that got out Mark but sad for those who were left behind and who we know will be murdered by this scum. Why didn't they start evacuations months ago when it would have been safe to do, I just cant understand it. Tom

I'm very disappointed with our current leadership to say the least. I can't wrap my head around it either.

It is absolutely sick how this was handled.
