The Foreigner

I stepped through the mirror into a city of copper rain,
Where the streetlights hummed tunes in a forgotten tongue.
Clock hands spun backward, turning the noon into twilight,
While fish swam through the air, carrying messages of home.
My shadow detached to dance with a stranger’s shadow,
And the horizon whispered secrets of a land I had never known.
