The Footsteps of Time
Can you feel the footsteps
Of time running out?
The world’s standing…
On the desert remains
Of the sands of time
We stand on the doorstep
Of a new beginning
The future's upset
Life's a shameful past
History's reset
High on nuclear
Minds so unstable
Race and religion
Under the table
Love not peace
On the table
Revelations and Armageddon
Omitted from the Bible
Who new the end was coming
We didn't change when able?
Walking the streets like graveyard
I’m death’s shadow
My steps are tentative
From the shuttering of bones
And the permanent smiles of skulls
Who knew the day would come
When life didn’t have to fill an hour
With death and destruction
‘cos there’s nothing left to kill
‘cos there’s no one left to die
High on nuclear
Minds so unstable
Race and religion
Under the table
Love not peace
On the table
Revelations and Armageddon
Omitted from the Bible
Who new the end was coming
We didn't change when able?
Here are the footprints
On the sands of time
Life is a spiral as the world
Is not a circle, but oval
About to crack open like an egg
I guess we serve the devil
Why else is life such hell?
Seeking to dominate a dying world
How much power is enough?
With such weakness…in our hearts?
Revelations and Armageddon
Omitted from the Bible
Who new the end was coming
We didn't change when able?
God is forgotten
Truth is unknown
His light cannot be seen
Darkness rules within...
