The Floodgates

I wish my eyes would open up its arms,
And let the necessary tears fall,
Like due drops of rain to wash away,
The state of emptiness that I feel –
So, fill my beating heart like a yard glass;
May the limits of my soul,
Be not found as broken, though wholly at peace –
