The Flood

the sky is bawlin' rain is fallin'
rivers roll and overflow
a flood is come to wash away us all

listen to the wind a howlin'
soundin' like a wildcat growlin'
clearly given as a warning call

you can run but you can't hide
deep water spreadin' far and wide
and no way to escape that risin' tide

the odds are fast becoming slim
the time is now to sink or swim
a flood is come to wash away us all

the wind and rain have yet to cease
rescinded will be mankinds lease
a flood is come to wash away us all

to wash away us all!*

*inspired by all the recent rain and flooding.....rob!
