The First Ride
Ah the wind in my hair, around my face
Tugging at my clothes, as along I race
The boyish grin all lopsided and full
Charging down the street like the raging bull
My legs all a blur, spinning in an arc
Flying down the hill into the green park
My spirit flying as fast as my feet
This ecstasy such a wonderful treat
Wheels rolling and bouncing on the ground
Spinning so fast as they go round and round
There is nothing else that can feel alike
No other feeling like you very first bike.
