The Final Word

I look at my reflection
Is that how life should be?
A sitcom or a cartoon
They're both so much like me

But then there is the drama
The painful side of life
I'm sad to say with sorrow
It's a struggle full of strife

The days are like an ocean
I'm trying to paddle through
The sharks are at my feet
And the shore is in my view

But perservere I must
I've got to reach the land
I'm needing something solid
If I'm gonna make a stand

I have so much to say
To the world within my realm
My mind is in a maelstrom
And I'm standing at the helm

Good advice or bad advice
They contradict the two
Should I take it for myself
Or give it all to you

Life is such a juggernaut
I cannot comprehend
Just when the tip emerged
And where it's going to end

But if I have one thing to say
Then let this be my piece
When darkness falls upon my eyes
I hope I rest in peace
