The Final Act

we sat in silence, not knowing why, your world had changed.I examined it with awe, you dreams never had a chance,i say looking at you with a half crying smile, as feeling pity for your existence. and what of mine, you asked as if to compare, I turn towards the window, catching the last glimpse,of the stting sun. smiling at your question,my dreams never left me my life is of freedom and rebel........my choice! freedom you laugh what good is freedom it only exists in your own mind! I know ,I say ....then stand and walk away.
