The Fight Within (End)

The beat has gone, I found the freedom
My prisoner was saved with reason
Now it’s time to rest in wisdom
There’s no more fight, my strength’s in prison

Just peace and frozen resolve
Waiting for the day to dissolve
Breaking through into my fear
All my gods have disappeared

The beat has gone, I found the freedom
But loneliness has stole the seasons
Loss of hope in lack of fighting
Until disease recalls the lightning

Broken silence, vengeful branches
The thunder found a way to hatch it
The plot becomes eternal power
And with a beat the thunder towers

The drumming man asserts his anger
And in my pain I hear his laughter
Will I fall and never answer?
Or will I rise to beat this cancer?
