The Fence

The Fence
The night dark iron gate slams shut
Symbolic for centuries of forbidden crossings
The piled stone lay line across the field
Each rock a hand picked custom fit
Old rusty curtains running zigzag through the forest
Crushed by the tall and silent fallen creators of shade
