The Feeling Is the Same

No matter our standing
     in a material world
We are all emotional clones
The shallow import of fiscal weight
     can cloud what’s already known
Feelings can’t be put to scale
     Not measurable in terms
Like precious gems not for sale
     Humanity reaffirms	
If you can, help a thousand
     If you can’t, help just one
There's no less reward
                     or feeling of love
Though you may be poor
      in a rich man’s game
Our wealth is in feeling

The feeling is the same
