The Fears and Emptiness

There's an emptiness that shrouds today
A feeling I can't shake
Consuming every ounce of me
With every breath I take

And though I should be used to this
I'm shadowed by the fear
That you were just another dream
There's no proof you were here

For I know the fears and emptiness
Would fall without a fight
If I were granted one last taste
Of you, for one more night
