the favorite

that doesn’t even look like a witch said my eagle-eyed brother
What does it look like honey? Asked my fawning mother.
A spider wearing a witch hat, he said, see for yourself. all right?
But by then the spider witch had flown over the hill and out of sight.
You have such a great imagination! My parents said to my brother.
He has always been the favorite of both my father and my mother
