The family tree On this day we will plant a tree To symbolize the growth of our family For long ago seeds were planted After time you had roots of your own Root by root you nurtured each one With a mixture Of support and a sprinkle of love After countless hours of understanding Our family tree was quickly expanding Like the seasons come and go The tree branches continue to grow For life is ever changing nothing stays the same So on this day, we plant new memories In a whole new domain Beneath the tree, we plant life's precious moments Like all my children so far away When the wind blows they all find their way Soon I know they will be on their way Back to the tree Where dreams of today And memories of tomorrow Live on day after day
