The False Beauty of Our Oceans

The expanse of the ocean seems quite wonderful More fish to see, more reefs to be But really, it’s quite dreadful The expanse of the ocean is more than a ruse Yet nobody believes the scientists who say Just wait and see how much life we lose Water’s getting warmer The icebergs are melting Now you’ll feel guilty, wading in the shower And God forbid your vacation’s at stake There’s no where to swim In a dried up lake There’s not much more time to save our fish We sure love our oceans But not enough to spare one wish

Such an important message. So much taken for granted and at what cost... Well done, Madeline.
