The Fall of Friendship

The Fall of Friendship What emotions still bind me here Caged with this crass ideal That I should act as others wish A mouse that spins a wheel A clown that's here to set the stage A ghost within the wind A shadow safe to trample on We were not really friends I'm too confused to loose my tongue And too angry to breathe I'm too fed up with all this (filth) And too (ticked) off to leave Watch as an awkward silence falls And I appear your toy The old world seems to melt away As light reveals the ploy Like a ferocious volcano Who's rage can move the earth And cause such fearful trembling Before exploding forth No chains remain within my heart My thoughts hold certainty The anger dammed will burst apart That flood will set me free
