The Fall

I know I'm going to give into you,
the moment you walk thought the door,
I know I keep saying,
of this, my heart can take no more.

I wonder if you hear me,
if you listen to me at all,
chances are that you don't,
and my heart will soon take the fall.

I try to see if you really love me,
or if only for the moment you do,
I give you my heart and soul,
both broken, tried, and true.

Broken because,
every beat of my life was for you,
tried for so long,
because no one else would do.

That all changed the moment we got together,
I'll never forget you told me,
that you could stay that way forever.
