The Fall
As I watch the leaves fall
from this dying tree
As I feel earth's chill
I fall right to my knees.
Causalities
Distorted realities
Another day
A soul as slipped away.
Just like I had feared
Your love has disappeared,
Into the forbidden air
Leaving me cold and bare.
This world was never meant to be fair,
This world will always point and stare.
While we were young, we had our years
With age, it brought us tears
With youth, we had forever
Now we have lost endeavors.
I still see smiles coded in sweet innocence
I still hear laughter, made of simplicity
Lingering throughout each breeze
Why has everyone I ever loved
Caught this world's disease?
If one person could change the outcome
How come all seems lost?
If one person saved the earth
Then, why do I bare this cross?
The climate has progressively shifted in society
Along with the atmosphere that’s brewing deep inside of me.
So many seem to run, are bankrupt, and alone
Many stumble in the darkness
Ashamed, they quietly roam.
If we were made with purpose
Then, why has the purpose died?
Why has everyone fallen away?
drifting like the tide?
My mind plays movie clips, of better days in time
But it also plays the future years
I see the warning signs.
I close my eyes and hold my heart
For most of the time it’s in pieces and parts
I wait patiently for that magnificent star
To wash away all these abysmal scars.
