The Ezekiel Call

Ezekiel 22:30 I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one. There is no one righteous, not even one. The cities teem with prodigal sons. Their feet are swift to shed blood. Their hands love to cause the flood. There is no one righteous, not even one. There is no one holy, not a soul. All have hearts black as coal. Their tongues lie and drip deceit. Amongst them purity is obsolete. There is no one holy, not a soul. All deserve death, every one, To be blotted out before the Sun. Their sin is great, their debt is made. What is their fate? It must be paid. All deserve death, every one. Who have You found, who will go? You have searched to and fro. Stand in the gap, rebuild the wall. You have found none among us all. Who have You found, who will go? I am present so please let me. I know I am small, unworthy. But take pause at my plea And I beg, purify me. I am present so please let me. My ears are open, I hear Your call I am but one, but I will rebuild the wall. Give me time, and perhaps by Your grace In a short while, You’ll needn’t turn Your face. My ears are open, I hear Your call. There is no one righteous, not even one. But I will speak for the prodigal sons. I will wage the war from my knees By Your Strength and Your Spirit, if You please. You alone can make us righteous, every one.
