The Eyes of Halloween
Out in the woods, this tale unfolds
The ghosts now take their strangleholds
They seek your eyes so they can see
A ghastly search for you and me
Tread with care, take silent breaths
They only hear the sound of death
They have their heads, both eyes are gone
They hear you blink and so are drawn
They lurk and sneak this time of year
They cannot see but they can hear
Be careful friends, don’t take a chance
October is their time to dance
They’re coming now out from the woods
Stay indoors and guard your goods
You’ll only lose if you should fall
They’ll grab your eyes both big and small
