The Eyes Have It
Sign language and the written word,
Enables me, still to converse.
Vibrations, touch and feel, may seem absurd,
But with my eyes, conveying language to the universe.
These dialogues are unspoken, never heard,
Yet understood by chapter, and each verse.
Sometimes charades or mime are much preferred,
Where animated actions, are much more diverse
With lip reading I practice undeterred
My mirror image helps me to rehearse.
