The Extra Mile

Life's slings and arrows, tough to bear. 
    Oh, it's quite a cruel world out there. 
    The needy are suffering; it's not fair. 

                     If I could help them all, I would. 
  
         Helping desperate people out. 
          Is what kindness is all about. 
          Infinitely rewarding, no doubt. 

                      It surely makes one feel good! 

         I sometimes go the extra mile. 
         To make their day worthwhile. 
        Seeing my efforts bring a smile... 

                      Puts me in a very good mood!
