The Evil That Men Do
what kind of civilized society
allows people to be used
as a commodity?
human and sex trafficking
the manipulation of innocent souls
how do we stop it
and what is our role?
the evil that men do
It ain't nothing new
the exploitation of individuals
either by coercion, fraud or force
Individuals isolated and manipulated
for free labor or a financial resource
human trafficking has existed
for many centuries
It goes back to the earliest recording
of humanity
while the term "human trafficking"
is relatively new
the underlying practice of it
has long been pursued
African & Native American females snatched
and disappeared every day
Yet not much is being done
and very little is being said
the evil that men do
we must now cease
and the awareness to society
must be increased
so let us learn to recognize
the international signs
the body language and the hand gestures
specifically designed
to alert us to the dire situations
that many are suffering
in agonizing isolation
the evil that men do
Its time for us to be more aware
If you see something say something
exercise compassion, show that you care
Its time for us to stop
the evil that men do
the responsibility now falls
on me and on you
