The Essence of Love

A beautiful gift to envision, a heart graced with ambition The result of eyes colliding, and truly wanting to listen I dont know if I can handle, to stand in a man's position Just light it and melt the candle, examine what life is missing Dismantled by my decisions, handled by my conditions But when I'm lost in your eyes, I know you are what I've been given To reconnect the pieces, and release the harmony living And truly begin to believe that this dream is more than vivid Been needing more than an image, been wanting to call you mine Think of the lust that we hid in, we loved each other inside I try to find, a reason to tell you my final lines Because I'll die inside, before I could walk away from you, I Dont know if you understand that our bonds unbreakable, I Want you to know that I vow to you until the day that I die I promise to stay with you and hold your hand along your side Through sickness and health, I'll be your spirit, body, and mind Give it time Something had sparked, I felt that you had to be mine Eye candy at sight, so to the top of the tree I'd climb To pick from the fruit with scrutiny, none of them tasted ripe Until a higher life, gave me a miracle by suprise Am I alive? Or is my reality just a dream If I'm asleep, then I'm okay thinking of you and me I've been daydreaming alot, and its you that I always see I wonder if we, will ever know what true love means I just need you to hug me, and tell me you love me You want me, the feeling you get when you touch me You trust me, please trust, this letter's to you I want nothing but an answer, and for you to say, "I do" And until then, I sit and I write these poems Thoughts that I hold in, I just thought that you might wanna hold them Deal the cards right and I promise that I'm never folding I'll love you until the end, even when the sun isnt showing

If ever I were to fall in love I would hope it would be as you describe in this poem. "To pick from the fruit with scrutiny, none of them tasted ripe Until a higher life, gave me a miracle by surprise." I think it's a wonderful thought that you didn't just pick someone just because she was in front of you... with patience comes quality :)
