The End of Arguments
THE END OF ARGUMENTS
We argue in our families, and some may argue sports,
We argue in religion on subjects of all sorts.
We argue which is better in politics and such;
It seems on every subject we argue way too much.
We all have different viewpoints, so it’s so hard to see
A subject or a matter on which we can agree.
I’ve had my share of fighting and arguments, I know,
And I have often wondered why all of this is so.
It’s so hard to imagine that there could be a place
Where no one’s disagreeing, we all see face to face.
But Jesus said there is one that He’s gone to prepare,
And soon He’ll come to get us to all live over there.
There our minds will be uncluttered, we all will think the same,
There’ll be no disagreements, and no one put to shame.
The rifts and separation that arguments here bring
Will disappear like magic, and in harmony we’ll sing.
I can’t wait for that morning when fighting is no more,
And we make up forever on that bright golden shore!
No more we’ll fight and argue, all wars forever past,
We all will be in union in heaven there at last!
