The End of a Lovely Day
Black swallowtail butterfly
Shared the garden with Ruby
That beauty was just whirring by
Dancing inbetween was the white
Cabbage butterfly wanting to be seen
Drawing all the nectar to be found
In the plants that still abound
With blooms and scent
Giving their conscent
To feed on their substinance
Red breasted nuthatcher swooped
On the scene, enjoying water
That was his dream, just the right
Temp to drink and splash
Dancing in the tree and dash
Beautiful ending to the gift
Of a lovely day that has lifted
To heights of thy divine grace
In places that only God can take
Into that divine space
