The Enchantment of the Holiday

Warmth and passion through the air
emanating glow
Garlands flying everywhere
Sparkling through the snow
Pumpkin pie and candy canes
Sugarplums in the mist
Elves are working day and night
Santa checks his list

Children's fingers sticking tightly
From the candy treats
Heat flickers through the fireplace
Carolers warm their feet
Snowmen beckon lightly
Urging snowball fights to begin
Families make snow angels
As do cherished friends

Egg nog swerving in the cups
While we sit to rest
Christmas carols playing
Adding magic to our fest

Christmas trees have spread their arms
In all majesty
Tinsel fall like tear drops
Angels sing in glee
We have found our haven
In this blessed time
Miracles await us
As Christmas is divine
