The Enchanted Wood

In twilight's hush, where shadows dance and play, Lies a mystery, beyond the world's display, A hidden truth, that beckons us to explore, A realm of wonder, where secrets whisper, and more. We gather, lost, without a purpose true, Breathing, living, yet unsure what to pursue, The creation story, a mystic, veiled design, Leaves us questioning, the power that's divine. I ventured forth, into the wood's dark heart, A world within a world, where ancient secrets start, The trees, like sentinels, stood guard with might, As I discovered beings, transformed, in plain sight. Egusi soup and game meat, a welcome, warm and fine, From creatures, cast away, by humanity's decline, Their transformation, a testament to their inner strength, A superhuman resilience, born of life's length. Seven days passed, and on the seventh night, I received a gift, a power, a wondrous sight, To communicate with herbs, trees, and plants, anew, To transform, to heal, with nature's essence, pure and true. But whence this power, I asked, with curious mind, From creator, or creature, a question left behind, A debate rages, among the faithful, and the wise, As I ponder, still, the mystery, that opened my eyes.
