In the empty room loneliness sets the rules in shades of darkest blue; blue the color of regrets, and haze of countless cigarettes through which the past is dimly seen as phantoms lost in-between the projector and the screen, where relays of surreal dreams, and jingle of the mind's tambourine, repeats and beats life's lost vignettes.

This room seems lonely. I like the fascinating rhyme. Good luck with the contest.

You've done a great job setting up a melancholy scene. I especially like the line, "repeats and beats life's lost vignettes."

Oh this is quite good. I did one years ago set in a nursing home where the white ceiling was the movie screen for his memories and imaginings
