The Empty Nest

As we keep getting older
And of coarse our children do to
We cannot stop the ageing process
So what are we to do
We put them through school
Watched their games and plays
Taught them good morals, independence
And now it's time for them
To leave and fly away
We will always have the pride of knowing
We raised them well and did our very best
So here we are together
In our cozy empty nest
And now is the time for all of us
To take that long awaited and well deserved little rest
