The Empty Box

A box he gave all gold without
to broke to fill without a doubt

But in the box he simply wrote
about loves keeping in a note

The box has aged so over time
Its outside layers grow old like mine

The gift of love is written there
his heart so full of gentle care

Of all life's gifts too many to post
The empty box I treasure most...

This is an awesome poem. I'm sure some people have no idea what this means, and I feel sorry for them. A man who see that empty box cherished so much knows he is TRULY loved for who he is and not what he's got. It is a special woman who has such capacity for love these days
