The Ego In My Love

All those before me
I only care if you loved them more
All those coming after me
I only care if you'll love them more
Easily, like water washing upshore
What if they could erase my name from your memory?
And with them you could write a better love story
Then you and I ever had?
Will I even be part of your history?
After all is done and not much is said
Silently parting ways, will goodbye overwrite how we met?
Just this can feed my jealousy
The thought of anyone able of making you forget
That there was no one I loved more than you
Before and after there has only been you
I fear the day anyone can make you feel else than I do
