The Eagle
You're the ablest creature
That can fly high without blinking
The wonders of nature
Are always yours for the seeing
You stare directly at the sun
Daring to challenge its shine
With your claws that stun
You seem to defy the test of time
But I still could not fathom
Why your heart was so rigid
You left my heart so gravely torn
Praying, still and frigid
You made my heart your prey
My riddled soul was left to wonder
With your claws of trickery
Why on earth did I blunder?
You're an eagle on my horizon
That torn my heart in two
But one day I'll be reborn
For I'm an eagle too
