The Duel

The Gunslinger You think I am ordinary he said As he wiped the sweat from his head I have done things I now dread Where I made choices with the dead So you see if you want to conquer me It’ll take more than wanting it you see Anti up and let’s see what you’ll put on the line And know the outcome will not be kind We stood and looked at each other Waiting for the first move to discover Who would win in the gun fight I shot him dead with my concern being only slight. © Paul Warren Poetry
