The round pond a big hole It was empty without water The dry heat dried it out It began to pour rain drops The wind was very strong Pouring rain filled the pond Ducks and the geese came They swam and drank water A busy day at the pond

I can relate to this as we have a pond too. In the UK it never quite gets hot enough to dry it out though!! Great poem Darlene, thoroughly enjoyable read..Ron x

Hello Timothy McGuire, you must have had hot humid weather in order for the pond to dry up. 5 feet is a lot dried up water. Have a nice day my friend.
